Mission
Statement
The mission statement of Act Out Theatre is as follows:
- Broadening public awareness of the arts through dynamic and diverse theatre
- Education in theatre to enhance culture and heritage
- Outreach programs to the mentally and physically challenged and to less fortunate youths
- Community participation in theatre
- Development of arts in the surrounding areas in conjunction with other artistic and cultural groups
- Construction of a strong institution governed according to firm management principles
- Cultivation and maintenance of a high level of artistic integrity.
Organizational Goals
AOT strives to provide culture and heritage through high-quality theatre productions, and top-notch educational programs and opportunities to the community of Southern New Jersey and beyond. Act Out works under a Guest Artist Agreement with Actors' Equity Association (the union for professional actors and stage managers) utilizing the help of local actors and artistic groups as well as actors from other regions. Educational programs will be concentrated in the Southern, New Jersey area, and surrounding states as interest demands.
