Act Out Theatre, Inc. was founded in 2000 as an
educational theatre organization. Act Out Theatre incorporated in the
State of New Jersey on December 1, 2000 as a non-profit corporation.
The founders of the corporation are:
° David M. Keller, Masters in Theatre, 12 years
experience in professional theatre
° Daniel J. Petrin, Bachelor of Science in
Accounting with Information Systems emphasis, 15 years professional
experience in consulting
Act Out Theatre
applied to the Internal Revenue Service for recognition of exemption
from federal taxes in December of 2000. The IRS determined that Act
Out is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the
Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section
501(c)(3). Please follow the link to view or print

Donors may deduct
contributions to Act Out as provided in section 170 of the Internal
Revenue Code. Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, or gifts to Act
Out are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they
meet the applicable provisions of sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of the
Code.
Act Out Theatre was
also approved for exemption from New Jersey sales, use, and corporate
tax.
Board of
Directors
The founders have
and will continue to bring together individuals to assist Act Out who
have proven to be successful in their respective careers. This will
include Board Members, management, employees, volunteers, and
consultants.
